Back by customer request and available while supplies last for May's Vintage Aromaleigh offering. Available in the "demi sample" size only, due to the high comparative cost of multichromatic pigments (more info below).

This premium eyeshadow collection features truly unique, color traveling pigments that react to various types of light and viewing angles to show their effects. In direct sunlight or diffused light, you don't see color travel. They seem to flash their brightest in low light, and mixed light. All swatches were photographed in my kitchen, in mixed lighting. No specialty professional lighting was used.

As the pigments used in this collection are extremely costly and used as the highest percentage in the formulas (they are six times the cost of the typical duochrome/interference pigment), I have adjusted prices/sizing accordingly. Basically, you will find that these are twice the cost of other Aromaleigh eyeshadows. Example: a regular Aromaleigh sample is 1/8 tsp in a baggie for $1.25. In Fatalis, you get 1/16th tsp in a baggie for the same price of $1.25)

Recommended application for these is over a cream eyeshadow base (NYX cream eyeshadow base is my go-to!). Sticky or glue bases may work well for you, but I personally don't use these or test/swatch my products with them. With all color shifting/duochrome shades, I urge you to use a flat taklon brush or other suitable tool to flatten and align the color shifting component of the eyeshadow. This will create a more uniform and reflective surface.

Phyllobates terribilis, inspired by the tiny, toxic golden poison dart frog. From the Halloween 2015 FATALIS collection, featuring vividly multichromatic eyeshadows inspired by poisonous flora and fauna. Available until 12/1/15, when it will retire until next Halloween!

The name Phyllobates is Latin for "leaf climber", while terribilis is "terrible". The golden poison dart frog is considered one of the most toxic animals on Earth. A single specimen measuring two inches (five centimeters) has enough venom to kill ten grown men. Indigenous Emberá people of Colombia have used its powerful venom for centuries to tip their blowgun darts when hunting, hence the species' name. Scientists are unsure of the source of this frog's amazing toxicity, but it is possible they assimilate plant poisons, which are carried by their prey. Poison dart frogs raised in captivity and isolated from insects in their native habitat never develop venom. (Source: National Geographic)

Color Description: This shade is inspired by shade range of the golden poison dart frogs. It has a warm green base and shifts of vivid gold to orange to reddish. You might even see a pop of violet - depending on lighting conditions and angles in which you view. (Click on "Videos" above, to see rough video skin swatches of this color shot with my iPhone 5c- it doesn't show the vibrancy as well as my Nikon, but you can definitely experience the color travel in real time). Product photographs here at Aromaleigh appear more "sparkly" than these colors are in real life. This is a photographic technique used to better display hard to capture color shifts, by purposefully using shallow focus. In real life these shadows, when used with a base, obtain a smooth and almost metallic color-shifting appearance.

Sizes available- Due to the extreme high cost of the specialty pigments used, I have adjusted sizing to be half the amount for the same price. For example- a regular Aromaleigh sample is 1/8 tsp in a baggie for $1.25. In Fatalis, you get 1/16th tsp in a baggie for the same price of $1.25)
  1. Demi Sample: 1/8 teaspoon in 3 gram jar. No sifter. Bottom label only.

This formula features added ingredients for adhesion and wear, which also intensify the color shifts and make it easier to wear and blend over both bare skin and a variety of primers. Your eyeshadow will not arrive in "little balls" like some semi-loose formulas do, but it may be more difficult to get through the sifter holes. Sifters are easily removed. As always, I recommend a regular cream base such as NYX cream eyeshadow base. Your mileage may vary with sticky glue type primers.

Contains: synthetic flurophlogopite, mica, iron oxide, talc, magnesium myristate, isododecane, capric/caprylic triglyceride, dimethicone May contain: ferric ferrocyanide, red #40, ultramarine pink, carmine ** The shades "Atropa belladonna" and "Nerium oleander" contain carmine. All other shades are Vegan.
